The fair will take place on July 15, 2023, from 10 am to 1 pm at the Juanita J. Craft Recreation Center at 4500 Spring Ave, Dallas, TX 75210. The event, organized in partnership with the community and mental health professionals, has garnered exceptional support, including a proclamation from Mayor Eric Johnson, designating July as Minority Mental Health Awareness Month in Dallas.

The Minority Mental Health Fair is a pioneering initiative aimed at addressing the stigma surrounding mental health within minority communities and enhancing access to resources and support for those in need. By providing a safe and welcoming space, the fair encourages individuals to connect with others who share similar experiences and challenges, fostering a sense of belonging and understanding.

The event will feature ten esteemed minority therapists who will showcase their services and expertise. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in informative seminars on important topics such as coping with burnout, finding a therapist, and managing stress. These sessions will provide practical strategies and insights to help individuals navigate their mental health journeys effectively.

In addition to the educational components, the Minority Mental Health Fair will offer a range of engaging activities for attendees of all ages. Families can enjoy free food while children delight in complimentary haircuts. Bounce houses will be available for children, providing endless fun and entertainment. Moreover, adults can join in the excitement with an exclusive adult bounce house designed to bring joy and laughter to the event.

"We are honored to host the inaugural Minority Mental Health Fair in Dallas, alongside the proclamation of July as Minority Mental Health Awareness Month," expressed Teri Cabrera, Founder and President. "Our aim is to break down the barriers and misconceptions surrounding mental health in minority communities, while simultaneously offering essential resources and creating a strong support network.
