The Mind Field, Inc. Launches C.A.R.E. Line: A Free Mental Health Support Resource for Communities of Color
New Initiative Provides Culturally Responsive Emotional Support and Crisis Assistance
Dallas, TX – July 23, 2025— The Mind Field, Inc., a Dallas-based nonprofit dedicated to mental health advocacy and education, has officially launched the C.A.R.E. Line (Community. Access. Response. Empathy.), a free and confidential emotional support line developed specifically to serve communities of color.
Welcome to The Mind Field C.A.R.E. Line
Whether someone is feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or simply needs someone to talk to, the C.A.R.E. Line offers a safe space to connect with trained mental health advocates who understand and listen without judgment.
“Many in our communities face barriers to accessing mental health support, whether due to cost, stigma, or cultural disconnect,” said Teri Cabrera, Founder of The Mind Field, Inc. “The C.A.R.E. Line was created to bridge that gap by providing immediate, culturally competent emotional assistance from people who get it.”
The C.A.R.E. Line is staffed by licensed mental health professionals and trained CARE Advocates who offer emotional de-escalation, active listening, and access to appropriate referrals, all at no cost to the caller. Conversations are confidential, trauma-informed, and grounded in cultural sensitivity.
Why It Matters:
Communities of color often experience disproportionate levels of stress, trauma, and limited access to quality mental health care. The Mind Field, Inc. saw the need for a safe and affirming space where individuals can receive timely support, especially in moments of emotional crisis.
“Our mission is to defuse the stigma, promote healing, and increase access to resources that affirm identity and community,” said Teri Cabrera, Founder of The Mind Field, Inc. “The C.A.R.E. Line is not just a support line; it’s a statement that your voice matters, and your mental health matters.”
The Mind Field, Inc. plans to expand the line's reach across Texas and neighboring states, with long-term goals to serve at least 20 states by 2026.
