FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Dallas, TX — In honor of Black HIV Awareness Day, The Mind Field, Inc. will host DEFUSED Discussions: Black HIV & Mental Health Summit, powered by ViiV Healthcare, a community-centered panel discussion focused on the intersection of HIV and mental health within Black communities.
The event will take place on February 7, 2026, from 6:00–9:00 PM at Soiree Coffee Bar and is free and open to the public.

DEFUSED Discussions brings together a powerhouse panel of specialists who work in the HIV space and mental health professionals. Together, they will engage in honest, stigma-defusing dialogue designed to challenge misconceptions, amplify community voices, and promote healing through education and connection.

“Our goal is to create a brave space where truth is centered, stigma is defused, and community healing can begin,” said Teri Jade Cabrera, Founder of The Mind Field, Inc. “Black communities deserve access to culturally responsive conversations that honor both physical and mental wellness.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear personal stories, ask questions, build new connections, and enjoy complimentary food in a welcoming environment.
While admission is free, optional donations are available through Eventbrite to support The Mind Field, Inc.’s ongoing work in minority mental health awareness, education, and community programming.
