DALLAS, TX - April 1, 2024 - The Mind Field, Inc. is proud to announce the 2nd Annual Minority Mental Health Fair, scheduled to take place on April 27th, 2024, at the Juanita J. Craft Recreation Center from 10am to 1pm. This event aims to promote awareness and provide resources for mental health within minority communities.
The fair will feature three empowering workshops designed to equip attendees with essential strategies and insights:
Strategies for Coping with Stress: Learn effective techniques to manage stress and enhance mental well-being.
Navigating Therapy with or without Insurance: Gain valuable insights into accessing therapy and mental health services, regardless of insurance status.
Family: How Family Shapes Our Mental Health: Explore the impact of family dynamics on mental health and discover strategies for fostering positive familial relationships.
In addition to these workshops, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with nine minority therapists and sixteen community partners who will be showcasing their services and offering valuable information.
To ensure a holistic experience for attendees of all ages, the fair will include bounce houses for both children and adults, as well as free haircuts and hairstyles for children aged 18 and under. Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett's team will be present to assist with federal agency issues, including passports, immigration matters, and more. Furthermore, the North Texas Food Bank will be on-site to assist with SNAP applications, ensuring access to vital food assistance resources.
